Ukraine to Develop a State-run Platform to Monitor Gambling Market

Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation have announced plans to launch an online monitoring system to oversee gambling activities in the jurisdiction. The system will include real-time tracking on bets and provide data on returns, winnings and market volumes.

The new initiative aims to strengthen operational transparency in the sector to create a fair market and improve compliance to reduce illegitimate activity. The data collected will also help tax-collecting bodies to build a tax-policy for the country.

Tech companies have been encouraged to be involved in the system design, aimed to meet the needs of both the regulator and operators, and were invited to register to a public consultation on July 21st.
